​And...what is Yes and...Fest?

It is an improv festival hosted by Batavia High School which brings together a celebration of improvisation with high school improvisers from across Northern Illinois. The festival's home is the Batavia Fine Arts Centre, a professional level centre, on the Campus of Batavia High School.

​and...what can we expect to do there?

You and your students will have the opportunity to attend workshops, perform as a troupe, receive feedback from professionals and watch other high school troupes perform.  Some possible workshops you may attend are:
  • Introduction to Long Form
  • Getting Out of Your Head
  • Meet Armando
  • Doing Not Talking
  • Short Form
  • Polishing Your Advanced Skills
  • Broadening
  • Teacher as Improviser (How to coach improv for the teacher/director.)
  • And...other new and exciting workshops.

  Cost to attend Yes and...Fest
  Professional Improv Show included in each fee.

     $30 per participating student 
        (Workshop schedule will be emailed prior to fest.)
     $50 Optional ​Troupe Performance Pack
        (Includes 20 min. performance and 10 min. of private feedback time with a professional)
     $15 Spectator-adult ticket for evening performance of professional troupe (Paid at the door)
     $10 Spectator-student with ID ticket for evening performance of professional troupe (Paid at the door)

and...how do I get there?

Yes and...Fest is held at the Batavia Fine Arts Centre (BFAC).  The entrance is at the intersection of Wilson Street and Western Avenue in Batavia, IL. Please go to their website (click on logo to the right) for directions and a map.

Only the ones that registered for the Troupe Performance Pack will perform on the main stage and receive feedback from the professional improvisers.

Our Mission

STAGE was formed in October of 2005. We support, encourage, maintain and promote Rotolo Middle School and Batavia High School theatrical productions. Participation in theater productions is an integral part of the educational system that stimulates confidence, teamwork, a positive work ethic, and showmanship – all important characteristics necessary for success in life.  Batavia has a long and highly respected reputation of excellence in the performing arts, and we invite you to be a part of that tradition.
